The Side Saddle Association is seeking to appoint an Honorary General Secretary from 1st April 2026. This is a part time, home based role on a self employed basis (approx. 25 hrs per week for 48 weeks per annum).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Communications with Members, Press and the Public
- Membership
- Maintaining Databases
- Updating and Coordinating Handbook
- Newsletters
- SSA Council Administration including AGM
- Judges Scheme
- Coordinating Online Seminars
- Website updates
- Liaising with Area Representatives
Candidates must:
- Be well organised with a methodical approach to their work
- Able to work to deadlines
- Have strong admin and customer service skills
- Have a home office set up
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Have confident IT skills
- Able to adapt for the requirements of the role
- Have a strong equestrian background with familiarity of Side Saddle (advantageous)
