What you’ll do:

  • Assembly or installation of various truck body parts
  • Mechanically inclined and skilled with hand, air, and power tools
  • Must be detail-oriented and very meticulous about your work
  • Perform as a team member which requires the ability to learn, perform and rotate to other workstations
  • Perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards
  • Obtain supplies and parts required to do the job
  • Assist other employees when assembly work is not required
  • Clean department and maintain neatness in the surrounding work areas
  • Assist the team in 5S advancements
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean Principles
  • Must be able to follow instructions (both verbal & written)
  • Basic computer skills (knowledge on Aurora a plus)

What you need to be successful:

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Advanced understanding of 12 volt and AC Electrical Systems
  • Good attendance
  • Ability to use ladders, enter and exit trucks, reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, working below knees or above shoulders and lifting as much as 50lbs
  • Ability to use air and electric powered tools such as drills, hammer drills, torque wrenches (powered and unpowered), air tools (such as rivet guns, air drills, air hammers) and huck guns
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, directions, charts, forms, and safety regulations
  • Ability to correctly use and read various gauges
  • Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment
  • Use of power tools
  • Ability to read tape measure to a (1/16) of an inch
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
