Overview

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Operational Manager to provide leadership and operational management support as part of the Therapy Care Closer to Home Management team within the Therapy Centre. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level, ideally registered with the HCPC, and have significant experience of working at a management or professional level in an acute setting. This is a full-time position based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional leadership and operational management support to the Therapy Centre Manager and the Therapy Care Closer to Home Manager.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of a range of services within the Therapy Centre, ensuring efficient and effective management of all resources to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Lead a team of 3 Therapy Managers delivering services across Dietetics and Speech & Language Therapy covering inpatients, outpatients and the community, including the Macmillan Integrated Therapy Service.
  • Manage resources to deliver safe, high quality patient care and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Degree level education; HCPC registration ideally.
  • Significant experience in a management or professional role in an acute setting.
