To advise the CM on performance indicators, projects, pathways, national guidance and policies. To provide line management support with ward/departmental/managers on behalf of the Centre Manager. The post holder will fulfil a crucial role in fostering excellent communication and working relationships with the clinical specialties, their teams and stakeholders. To be responsible for the delivery of key performance indicators and other targets within the Centre.
In undertaking the duties for this post the post holder must comply with the Department of Health’s code of conduct for NHS Managers (October 2002).
Main duties of the job
Providing leadership and operational management support to the Centre Manager, you must have current NHS experience with a strong focus on delivery and a desire for success. Working with the Clinical Directors and Centre Manager, the post-holder is responsible for formulating and implementing service delivery plans to achieve the operational and strategic objectives of the Centre.
You should have the skills to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate others effectively.
Accountable for service delivery, the post-holder will be required to liaise with service users, other agencies and stakeholders along with working closely with other teams to ensure efficient and effective management of all resources to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care.
