We are seeking an experienced Gear Grinder to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to grind gear teeth to drawing specifications., Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components.
Write and interpret instructions and procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
Control machines and processes.
Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
Analyze information to find the best solutions to problems.
Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.
Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental instructions.
Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable.
Support all relevant 5S activities and report any near misses.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and report any job-related issues to the line manager.
Undertake any additional responsibilities within your skills and abilities as required by the business.
Recognised engineering qualification preferred .
Practical, mechanically oriented with good problem-solving skills.
Experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines is ideal-we need someone who can hit the ground running.
