Overview:
The Shore Group are a sector-driven business looking for a proactive Procurement Manager to lead purchasing across the group. You’ll manage both direct (construction materials, works packages) and indirect (corporate services) spend categories to support our multi-sector service delivery, helping us deliver efficient, compliant, and value-driven projects across our multi-sector business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies across the Group
- Support project teams with cost effective sourcing for construction, small works, retail refits, and civils projects
- Identify and deliver opportunities for savings, efficiency, and value engineering
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
- Lead supplier reviews, audits, and performance assessments
- Negotiate contracts and framework agreements
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, modern slavery, governance requirements, and HMRC processes
- Work with Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to streamline procurement systems and processes
- Support bids and tenders with procurement input and insights
- Work closely with divisional directors (Construction, Civils, Small Works, Retail, Logistics) to understand procurement needs
- Align all procurement activity with our 2030 Social Value goals
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management (construction or multi-sector preferred)
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Understanding of compliance and governance in procurement
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple teams and divisions
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent)
- CIPS qualification (Level 4+) or working towards Chartered status
- Minimum 5 years\’ procurement experience in construction, facilities management, or multi-service environments
- Proven track record managing both direct (construction materials, works packages) and indirect (corporate services) spend categories
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
