The Shore Group are working with a leading M&E Contractor who are seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to support a major data centre project in Canary Wharf. This is a long-term contract opportunity, with an initial 7‑month contract starting Tuesday 12th May. Subject to performance and project progression, there is strong potential to transition onto the contractor’s West based Data Centre upon completion.
The Role: Although titled Electrical Construction Manager, this position is hands‑on and supervisory in nature, requiring you to take full responsibility for managing an entire floor on site. Key responsibilities include:
- You MUST have proven Data Centre experience
- Supervising 20–25 operatives
- Responsible for construction sign-offs with the QA team
- Daily internal construction meetings
- Input into CX meetings where required
- Weekly progress updates
- Overseeing installation works including:
- Lighting & lighting control systems
- Containment systems
- LV distribution
- Small power
Rates & Hours:
- £33 per hour for standard hours
- Monday to Friday, based on 50 hours per week
- £49.50 per hour for hours above standard
