The Shore Group have been retained by a £200m+ Tier 1 Main Contractor to appoint a Divisional Operations Director to lead and develop their Construction and Retrofit division. This is a key strategic hire within the business. As Divisional Operations Director, you will report directly to the Board and take full operational responsibility for multiple specialist delivery directors. You will provide leadership across both live projects and future pipeline activities, ensuring operational excellence, commercial robustness, and consistent, high‑quality delivery across the division.

You will lead and manage a high‑performing team of Project Directors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standards. Our client is seeking a delivery‑focused senior leader with a strong track record of overseeing multiple retrofit and cut‑and‑carve commercial projects simultaneously. The successful individual will bring deep operational expertise across complex occupied‑building environments, structural reconfiguration, major fabric upgrades, and energy‑efficiency retrofit programmes. They will demonstrate the ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, drive programme certainty, and ensure best‑in‑class safety, quality, and commercial outcomes across a diverse portfolio.
