We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major water infrastructure project in Tonbridge Wells. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader within the water/utilities sector to oversee mechanical installation works on a live water treatment facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works across the WTW site
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with project specifications, safety standards, and programme
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality, compliance, and productivity
- Conduct toolbox talks, RAMS reviews, permits and daily briefings
- Liaise closely with Site Management, Engineers, and Client representatives
- Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and site records
- Promote and uphold a strong health & safety culture across the mechanical team
Requirements
- SSSTS or SMSTS – essential
- NVQ in Mechanical Engineering / Supervisory discipline – essential
- Proven experience supervising mechanical trades on water treatment works, utilities, or process plant projects
- Strong understanding of pumps, pipework, valves, mechanical installation, and commissioning support
- Ability to drive safety, quality, and productivity on site
- Right to work in the UK and availability to start at short notice
