The Shore Group are a multi-service, sector-driven business, seeking 3 Construction Project Managers. We require 1 in Glasgow, 1 in Hull & the third in Cambridge.
These individuals will serve as the backbone of project delivery teams, managing day-to-day execution of property works and capital projects. This role requires proven capability in safe project delivery with detailed planning, clear communication, contractor coordination, budget control, and stakeholder management.
This individual will be required to have experience managing complex programmes valued up to £5mil with safe, on-time, on-budget project delivery and have a degree level qualification or similar with 3-7+ years' Project Management experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Project Delivery & Execution
- Plan and safely execute property projects, refurbishments, and space modifications
- Develop comprehensive project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Ensure quality control, regulatory compliance, and adherence to specifications
- Monitor progress, ensure adherence to budget, and manage change orders
- Coordinate day-to-day contractor activities, safety and performance monitoring
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews
- Resolve contractor issues and manage relationships
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety, specifications and quality standards
- Stakeholder Communication
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including in-house delivery teams, contractors, and consultants
- Interface with clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams
- Provide regular status updates and comprehensive project reports
- Lead project meetings, presenting on project performance and risks
- Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, H&S standards, and quality specifications
- Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation
- Manage work orders through CAFM systems
- Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned
- Technical Skills
- Understanding of building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and construction methods
- Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, and CAFM systems
- Robust budget development, cost control, contract, procurement and financial reporting
- Knowledge of building codes, H&S regulations, and environmental standards expertise
- Personal Attributes
- Strong project management skills and problem-solving capability under pressure
