Location: Canary Wharf

Duration: Circa 7-months + potential extension starting Tuesday 12th May!

Hours: Mon-Fri 10hr shifts + weekend shifts differ

The Shore Group are working with a leading M&E Contractor who are seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to support a major data centre project in Canary Wharf. This is a long-term contract opportunity, with an initial 7-month contract starting Tuesday 12th May. Subject to performance and project progression, there is strong potential to transition onto the contractor’s West based Data Centre upon completion.

The Role: Although titled Electrical Construction Manager, this position is hands-on and supervisory in nature, requiring you to take full responsibility for managing an entire floor on site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You MUST have proven Data Centre experience
  • Supervising 20–25 operatives
  • Responsible for construction sign-offs with the QA team
  • Daily internal construction meetings
  • Input into CX meetings where required
  • Weekly progress updates
  • Overseeing installation works including:
  • Lighting & lighting control systems
  • Containment systems
  • LV distribution
  • Small power

Rates & Hours:

  • £33 per hour for standard hours
  • Monday to Friday, based on 50 hours per week
  • £49.50 per hour for hours above standard
