The Shore Group are working with a leading M&E Contractor who are seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to support a major data centre project in Canary Wharf. This is a long-term contract opportunity, with an initial 7-month contract starting Tuesday 12th May. Subject to performance and project progression, there is strong potential to transition onto the contractor’s West based Data Centre upon completion.
The Role: Although titled Electrical Construction Manager, this position is hands-on and supervisory in nature, requiring you to take full responsibility for managing an entire floor on site. Key responsibilities include:
- You MUST have proven Data Centre experience
- Supervising 20–25 operatives
- Responsible for construction sign-offs with the QA team
- Daily internal construction meetings.
- Input into CX meetings where required.
- Weekly progress updates.
- Overseeing installation works including:
- Lighting & lighting control systems
- Containment systems
- LV distribution
- Small power
Rates & Hours
- £33 per hour for standard hours
- Monday to Friday, based on 50 hours per week
- £49.50 per hour for hours above 50 and Saturdays (7am–1pm)
- £57.75 per hour on Sundays
