Quantity Surveyor - Student Accommodation (Exeter) Contract Type: Freelance or Permanent (flexible) Start Date: ASAP - Commencing on site at the beginning of July The Shore Group are a multi-service, sector-driven business, seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercials on our £10million, 10-storey student accommodation scheme in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to join the project at a key stage - preconstruction has just completed, procurement is underway, and construction is due to commence July 2026, with an anticipated 18-month programme. You will report to the Project Manager and play a pivotal role in the commercial management of the scheme, helping to drive value and support successful project delivery under a Construction Management contract. You MUST have experience working at Quantity Surveyor level on a multi-storey Residential or Student Accommodation block, preferably valued in excess of £7million. Manage the commercial aspects of a £10mil live construction scheme * Valuations, variations, and final accounts * Work closely with the project and site teams to ensure commercial success Site-based role in Exeter, typically 5 days per week * Occasional remote working flexibility available * Opportunity to join immediately * Open to freelance or permanent candidates, depending on preference Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry * Strong commercial acumen and contract knowledge * clear communication, contractor coordination, budget control, and stakeholder management. * Career Progression * Opportunity to make a tangible impact on project success
