Company Description
The Shire is a wellness retreat and events destination set across 150 acres of lakes, parkland, and carefully restored farm buildings. We facilitate off-site days for teams seeking authentic connection and who want to leave feeling renewed. There are no manufactured corporate team building activities here, because we believe organic human connection is born in a thoughtfully curated environment and in harmony with nature. We believe wellbeing doesn’t need to be complicated and that successful corporate retreats should build natural cohesion and contribute to your goals as a business, which we understand having worked with businesses for over 40 years. Our bespoke packages are simple yet powerful for teams looking to escape London and are carefully curated by our team, the family who have owned the property and been stewards of the land for over 50 years. We also have a large event space perfect for corporate events and weddings.
Role Description
This is a part-time or full-time on-site role based in Towcester for a Social Media Content Creator. The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for creating and curating engaging content for various platforms, and monitoring social media trends to grow our online presence. We’re looking for a content creator with experience shooting content in nature; our brand is all about purposeful relaxation and authentic connection. Therefore, our content is the opposite of fast pace with quick transitions; it needs to be relaxing and showcase the feeling guests experience at The Shire. We already have a defined brand and are looking for someone who has a good creative eye to support our marketing manager with creating social media content for The Shire and sister business SUKU Saunas. You need to be a short distance away from the property and ideally be flexible so that you can attend the site when we have guests or events happening to capture content; we will of course give you a heads up on these dates. You’ll be shooting with a DJI Mavic 4 Pro, Fujifilm X100VI and iPhone, with plenty of creative freedom. Part-time or full-time. Free sauna sessions and other wellness perks included.
Things Important For Us To Convey In Content
- The magic you feel being onsite and immersed in nature, the family who own the property support wildlife and biodiversity.
- We want to evoke a feeling of warmth and serenity.
- The personal touch we offer; we’re not the average corporate hospitality venue, we’re family run and everything is done with care.
- Customers do not need to deal with multiple customer service agents, just one dedicated member of our team.
- We want to showcase that everything is purposeful, thoughtfully curated but not overcomplicated; wellness can be simple and powerful.
- There are no boardroom corporate team-building workshops here, just people, activities and nature.
- Our brand personality is all about being quietly confident, communicating simply without corporate jargon and presenting a feeling of understated luxury.
- Instagram is primarily to showcase the feeling of being on site at The Shire, not to generate inbound enquiries, that will be through other sales channels as we are a B2B company.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Content Creation, Caption Writing, and Visual Storytelling.
- Experience in Social Media Management, Platform Strategy, and Analytics.
- Knowledge of Photo and Video Editing to produce captivating multimedia content.
- Strong Planning, Scheduling, and Organisational skills.
- Understanding of Branding and Audience Engagement best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in marketing, hospitality, or wellness industries is a plus.
How To Apply
We’re looking for someone who really understands shooting beautiful nature content, so send us a reel you’ve made in nature or create one. Please also share your CV/portfolio and any relevant Instagram accounts, but the main thing we’re looking for is someone with an amazing eye; where you’ve worked before is less significant. Email your application with the subject line (Social Media at The Shire) to hello@theshireretreat.com.
