We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused

About the Role
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor and General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout our guest accommodation and public areas.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable and enjoyable stay, helping to uphold the high standards and reputation of The Ship Inn.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas to a high standard
- Change bed linen, make beds and replenish towels, toiletries and guest amenities
- Vacuum, dust, mop and polish surfaces as required
- Ensure all guest areas are clean, safe and welcoming at all times
- Report any maintenance issues, damages or missing items promptly
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and store them correctly
- Follow all health & safety, fire safety and hygiene procedures
- Dispose of waste correctly and support recycling procedures where applicable
- Respond politely and professionally to guest requests
- Work efficiently to meet daily room and cleaning targets
- Support colleagues and assist with deep cleaning projects when required
- Help maintain the high standards of presentation expected throughout the business
