Job Title: Warehouse Operator
We are seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, verifying materials, and stocking items appropriately within the warehouse. Key responsibilities include:
- Loading, unloading, and staging orders based on customer or production needs.
- Operating forklifts and other machinery to transport, move, and store materials and products.
- Completing paperwork and entering data related to inventory and shipments to ensure accuracy.
- Operating various machinery such as labelers, packers, palletizers, and fillers, and performing preventative maintenance as needed.
- Assisting with inventory management, including cycle counts and data entry.
- Handling customer returns, restocking, and system transactions.
- Communicating effectively with other departments to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Cross-training and deputising for other operators during absences or as required.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory forklift truck license.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to follow directions with limited supervision.
- Basic understanding of warehousing principles and practices.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Basic PC skills.
- Effective communication skills with co-workers.
