As Concierge Supervisor, you lead the luggage porters and own the arrival and departure experience at The Shepherd Mayfair.

You set the standard across the entrance and lobby, making sure every guest is welcomed in a way that is warm, professional and personalised.

You lead by example, coaching and supporting the Luggage Porters to deliver attentive, polished service throughout the guest journey, from the first welcome to a genuine farewell.

Reporting to the Head Concierge, this is a hands‑on, guest-facing role.

You handle every request efficiently and professionally, in person or over the telephone.

The ideal candidate has supervisory or senior front‑of‑house experience, is a natural leader who connects easily with people, and brings genuine knowledge of London.

  • Responsibilities of a Concierge Supervisor will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the concierge team day to day, setting a clear example across the entrance, lobby and throughout the guest journey.
  • Coach, support and develop the luggage porters, helping them grow and deliver consistent, attentive service.
  • Run daily briefings and shift handovers, keeping the team aware of expected arrivals, departures, VIPs and returning guests.
  • Own a smooth and efficient arrival and departure experience, stepping in to welcome, escort and assist with luggage as required.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, using what the team knows about preferences and returning guests to personalise each stay.
  • Advise guests on local parking and nearby car parks.
  • Oversee the prompt delivery and collection of items, messages and amenities to and from guest rooms.
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve any concerns with professionalism and care, working closely with the Head Concierge and Reception team.
  • Be a point of knowledge on the hotel’s services and facilities, including Fayre, Teddy’s and The Lounge, and on Mayfair and the surrounding Mayfair area.
  • Keep the lobby, entrance and luggage store tidy and well presented, and uphold high standards of personal presentation across the team.
  • Support induction and training of new concierge team members.
  • Maintain our quality and brand standards, and ensure the team stays compliant with mandatory trainings.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
