As part of the front-of-house team, the porter ensures a seamless guest journey while upholding high standards of hospitality and security.

As a Luggage Porter, you will be the face of the hotel, offering a warm welcome, assisting guests with their luggage, and ensuring smooth arrivals and departures.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Greeting guests warmly on arrival/departure and assisting with luggage
- Opening doors, hailing taxis, and coordinating transport services
- Maintaining a constant, welcoming presence in the lobby and entrance area
- Monitoring guest access and flagging any security concerns
- Anticipating guest needs and offering proactive, thoughtful service
- Supporting the front office and concierge teams
- Building deep knowledge of local attractions, business locations, and events
- Managing luggage delivery, collection, and storage, plus messaging services
- Booking tickets for tours, theatres, and attractions
- Handling lost property postage, package deliveries, and admin tasks for the head concierge
The core skills and experience required to succeed
- Confident, courteous, service-oriented demeanor
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
- Good knowledge of local attractions, transport, and hotel services
- Physically capable of assisting with luggage and standing for extended periods
- Prior front-of-house/customer service experience preferred
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
