About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and values-driven senior curriculum leader to join our Senior Leadership Team. As Assistant Principal for Young People (Curriculum Delivery & Quality), you will ensure high-quality, consistent curriculum delivery across our Young People provision. You will lead Academy Directors, drive improvements in teaching, learning and assessment, and play a key role in delivering outstanding outcomes, attendance and learner experience. This is a strategic and operational leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives on shaping direction, building capability, and ensuring excellence across multiple curriculum areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-quality curriculum delivery and ensure full implementation of study programme requirements, including the Skills Guarantee.
  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, assessment and learner outcomes.
  • Line-manage and develop Academy Directors, building leadership capacity across the provision.
  • Use performance data to monitor delivery, identify risks and secure timely interventions.
  • Coordinate readiness activities such as timetabling, staffing and assessment planning.
  • Contribute to college-wide quality assurance activities including deep dives, observations and thematic reviews.
  • Play an active role in cross-college leadership, committees and strategic projects.
  • Support safeguarding, open days, enrolment and the duty manager rota.

About You

  • Strong senior-level experience in curriculum leadership and quality improvement.
  • Proven track record of improving outcomes, delivery consistency and learner experience.
  • Experience leading study programme implementation and cross-college delivery requirements.
  • Skilled in using data to inform performance, risk and improvement planning.
  • Qualified teacher (Cert Ed/PGCE or equivalent) with a degree-level qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of FE curriculum, Ofsted expectations, safeguarding, equality and diversity.
  • An inclusive leader who models our FREDIE+ values.

What we can offer you

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £61,591 - £71,401 per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
