The role is responsible as the support function for the curriculum teaching and learning team within the Hospitality and catering department. You will work as part of a team to provide professional, friendly and high-quality support to the teaching team to ensure an efficient workshop environment for college students. Accountable to the Kitchen and Stores Team Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and hygienic workplace and ensure that food items are supplied, stored and used appropriately before and after lessons have taken place. You will work closely with the Kitchen and Stores Team Leader to ensure that deliveries and food stocks are appropriately handled and stored ready for the supply of food orders to practical classes.
The current key objectives for the role are:
- To provide operational support in meeting the needs of the teaching, learning and commercial operation.
- To provide support to the stores supervisor in ordering, storing and issuing food and drink stock.
- To support in maintaining statutory compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
Please note this is a term time role; the working hours would be 7:30am - 13:30pm.
As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of £26,395 per annum (this will be pro-rata'd to reflect the weeks worked) based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
Our benefits include enhanced pension contributions scheme with SYPA and annual leave of 30 days (222 hours) + 8.
