About The role
As a Casual Sports Technician you will be responsible for undertaking technician duties in specific areas in accordance with your skills, experience and qualifications in all College Centres, you will provide technical support to lecturers in the students learning environment and be involved with students on matters of a practical nature, for example the operation of specific pieces of equipment and demonstrations, whilst in the presence of a member of the teaching staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- To operate established and new technology-based equipment in the specialised area in which you work.
- Carry out record keeping, and stock control duties as agreed with the appropriate line managers
- Complete facility opening and locking up processes as per procedures
- Act as a point of contact for customers and visitors
- Serve light refreshments and deal with financial transactions
- Set up and take down equipment as required for bookings and events
- Complete regular cleaning duties of changing rooms and sports areas.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with the Colleges health and safety policies and procedures, in association with other colleagues and managers
- Maintaining Health and Safety records and undertaking safety checks as agreed with the manager
What we can offer you
As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of £13.45 per hour (£12.00 hourly rate plus £1.45 holiday pay)
