About Us: We spend a third of our lives sleeping, so we thought we’d make it memorable. Sheet Society was dreamed up by Hayley and Andy Worley in 2017 after they thought the industry had hit snooze. Then once their kids arrived, they had a new understanding of what makes for a great night’s sleep.

You have a strong commercial acumen and know how to maximise every inch of the store to not only showcase our products in the best way possible, but leverage data to ensure best sellers are perfectly positioned to maximise sales and drive KPIs. You understand just how important your role is in shaping the future of Sheet Society as we launch physical stores in a new market, and are visionary in your approach to bringing this to life.

About the Role: This role is full-time on a Tuesday to Saturday roster. The Store Manager is not only the face and voice of our brand but is tasked with developing and delivering what the retail experience looks like for Sheet Society. This isn’t a typical retail role, but instead an opportunity to bring Sheet Society to life and shape how we approach retail in the real world. Our stores are purpose-built to deliver both a functional shopping experience for our customers and an immersive space that feels just like home. We pride ourselves on delivering a customer experience like no other, and the countless five-star reviews we have received from our customers are a testament to both our product and the level of service we already provide, and what this role will represent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Store Management: Lead by example in all that you do, living and breathing Sheet Society’s values. Grow and nurture a talented team of dreamers, fostering their capabilities and leaning into opportunities for their further development. Conduct monthly check-ins with your team, inclusive of half-yearly performance reviews for all permanent team members. Create and manage monthly rosters ensuring wage budgets are met, inclusive of weekly approvals and managing staff leave requests. Managing recruitment, onboarding and training of the store team as needed, providing a stunning brand experience at every step. Ensuring all Store Communication, brand information & updates as well as policy or process updates are communicated and understood by the whole team.
  • Style, Selling & Service: Selling Sheet Society through engagement and genuine connections with customers, always being a brand ambassador and providing a cohesive brand experience and level of service that is second to none. Educating our customers about our brand, offering expert styling advice, and enlightening them about our features and benefits that set us apart from the rest. Working with the wider Sheet Society team to continually improve our service and customer experience by giving weekly feedback on products and sales inclusive of specific product selling performance. Ensuring sales budgets and KPIs are exceeded by maximising sales and gross profit, reviewing and reporting on performance. Providing employee feedback to enhance the customer service experience while also reporting/managing individual team performance. Where necessary hold any performance conversations should the team’s performance and/or behaviour not be meeting expectations. Working to support Customer Service with customer facing issues and resolve in store where possible.
  • Visual Merchandising & Inventory: Coordinate and execute all Visual Merchandising moves, changes or ad-hoc updates. Ensuring that sufficient sales data and information have been applied to the creative brief to ensure your store is best set up for success. Work with our WH and Operations teams to coordinate all store replenishment, individual stock requests (out of stocks) and communicate individual store performance including customer feedback to ensure ‘right stock, right place. Conducting training with the teams on VM and Inventory system standards to ensure consistency and stock accuracy across the board. Ensuring our brand standards for VM, beds, cleanliness, signage, displays etc are to always brand standards.

About You: Minimum of 3 years management experience within the retail environment, in a position where you have demonstrated leadership, autonomy and accountability. In depth knowledge of retail, store management, operations and customer experience. Proven ability to deliver results, drive sales and motivate your team. A passion for organising and finding efficiencies and delivering an exceptional customer experience. A passion to help customers build meaningful moments and of course, their dream bed in our showroom. You are self-motivated and a team player, you love to see everyone succeed, and have fun in the process.
