Adapted Tai Chi, Yoga and / or Pilates Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers who will help deliver sessions of adapted tai chi, adapted yoga or pilates for our Hospice Service Users. This will include carers, bereaved carers and patients. In this role you would be working in a supportive environment as part of the Therapy and Day Hospice team at the hospice contributing to the wellbeing of our patients.
Adapted Tai Chi uses the principles and some basic movements of Tai Chi to provide health and wellbeing benefits for our patients, with yoga and pilates adapted for individual needs that also benefit individuals\\\β health and wellbeing.
You will support us to deliver regular sessions in the exercise format in which you are trained, this may take place within our Day Services group sessions but would also form part of our stand-alone programme of activities.
This is a very rewarding role, with our exercise-based sessions being greatly enjoyed and a valued part of our offering at the Hospice.
