My client is an established and successful manufacturing company looking to add an additional Maintenance Engineer to their team.
Your duty will be to resolve efficiently and effectively the day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance of manufacturing machines and associated value-added processes, attend breakdowns, log all work completed on the maintenance system. Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the maintenance plan.
Build strong key relationships with Department managers and Shop floor operatives through clear concise communication. Be proactive in your approach to problems and subsequent counter measures. Follow all health and safety legislation and company rules when undertaking the role.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:- Carry out all duties within the scope of the Company mission and values and to support and encourage practices to meet this end.
- Carry out work in a safe manner, following correct procedure.
- Ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
- Follow best mechanical engineering practices.
- Ensure all planned work is completed with minimal disruption to production.
- Liaise with external suppliers for breakdowns.
- Ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest standards both from yourself, others within the team and external suppliers.
