My client is an established manufacturing company who are looking to add to their team. This is a physical role (Packing / Unpacking plus some production / assembly work) as well as liaising closely with the office team.
Responsible for the location, allocation, and movement of all parts and products to fulfil all internal and external customer orders and outgoing shipments. Verification of all materials as they are received into the stores area checking both product type and quantity. Responsible for visual quality inspection of all goods prior to delivery. Responsible for correct delivery of parts, with correct labelling, quantities and evidencing.
Duties:
- Receiving components and materials from customers and suppliers.
- Kitting and issuing components and materials to the shop floor as specified by the job card in a timely manner to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking and acceptance of all deliveries to stock.
- Ensure all received stock/sub-contract work is undamaged, to the correct quality of finish required and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
- Responsible for visual quality inspection of all goods prior to delivery.
- Ensuring the Procurement Dept are informed of low stock and other shortages which may require re-ordering.
- Ensure all products are suitably packaged and that delivery service used is adequate to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and all current Health and Safety legislation is observed, including basic house-keeping.
- Delivery and collection of product and material as required using internal and external transport.
- Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company.
To comply with the requirements of the integrated management system (IMS) (ISO 9001:2015 ISO 45001:2018).
Candidate Requirements:
- Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and Word.
- Forklift / counterbalance licence.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work methodically and quickly.
- Excellent time management skills and exceptional work ethic.
- Physically fit and able.
- Teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday (4 days 39 hours) 7.00am to 5.15pm.
