My client is an established and very successful specialist provider supplying premium coffee, vending and micro-market solutions across London and the Home Counties. They are looking for a skilled Vending Technician to join their Technical Team, responsible for carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), machine preparation, and on-site installations to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be working at customer premises inside the M25.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete PDIs on new and refurbished machines, ensuring they meet the company and manufacturer standards.
- Prepare machines for delivery (configuration, testing, branding, software updates).
- Carry out professional on-site installations of hot drinks, snack, fresh food, and water machines.
- Commission and test equipment, including payment systems, telemetry, and connectivity.
- Support with machine moves, relocations, and site surveys.
- Complete filter changes for existing machines and other planned works.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical regulations.
- Accurately complete installation records, reports, and handovers.
- Liaise with Project Management and Service Desk to coordinate schedules and resolve installation issues.
- Provide customer demonstrations and ensure smooth handover of equipment.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in vending, coffee, or catering equipment (installation or engineering) would be ideal but if you have a technical background gained in this type of role the client could be interested.
- Strong technical, electrical, and mechanical skills.
- Ability to follow technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and PDI checklists.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
