My client is an established and growing manufacturing / engineering company producing high quality products for a number of customers across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Programming / setting and operating one old style CNC Lathe with 1 turret 1 spindle no live tooling. Conversational Fanuc programming at the machine.
  • Programming / setting and one Citizen BNA 2 turrets 2 spindles + live tooling. Wizard software on the laptop or at the machine long-hand programming (Fanuc).
  • Operating the automatic saw cutting up his own jobs and some of the extras for the floor.

The role is very much a ‘hands on’ position, you will be part of a small multi skilled team and with that the team move around areas to where the work is. They need somebody with that type of attitude. The ability to come up with improvements would be very good. They are hoping for a candidate who can bring outside experience to help make the CNC’s run more efficient and better.

Ideally, they are looking for somebody to come in and hit the ground running. This role may suit a CNC Setter / Operator who is looking to develop their programming skills. There will be an opportunity to integrate and get used to the machines and environment.
