Job Description Electrical Maintenance Engineer x 2 (Continental Shifts), Birmingham, £23.19 per hour - c42 hours = c£50,646.96 per annum.
Continental 12 hour rotation, 4 on 4 off (Contracted to work all company shift patterns).
Reporting to the Shift Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for the supervision of external contractors and service providers.

Purpose: Complete permits to work and risk assessments, assessing all risks involved in the work to be undertaken.
Ensure safe systems of work are applied, adhered to, and followed out consistently.
Support and achieve Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and Plant improvement initiatives, Installation projects, statutory inspections, factory services and any other duties required to ensure plant safety, performance, improvement and operation.
Supervision of external contractors and service providers.
Interact with all stakeholders at any level within the business on a daily basis to resolve equipment & site related issues.
Be a point of contact for internal customers to resolve plant, equipment, and safety issues & provide technical support.
Interact with external bodies, suppliers, and contractors to achieve the above.
Ensure critical spares are available and stock levels are maintained on consumption.
Ensure a high standard of workmanship is achieved.
Main Duties/Responsibilities: Provide a high standard of multi-skilled (electrical) engineering support whilst working safely either independently or as part of a team.
Aid in reduction of production losses, energy, and waste.
Diagnose faults or point of failure, repair equipment to ensure safe operation, correct function, reliability, and equipment availability.
Engineer out equipment failures through continuous improvement.
Plan, co-ordinated and execute installation and plant improvement projects.
Provide support and input to plan & co-ordinate planned maintenance schedules, act on follow up repairs, source spares, complete and file documentation to audit standard.
Able to communicate with suppliers, chase outstanding orders.
Provide shift, factory startup/shutdown cover as and when required.
Specify & procure critical spares, be able to create requisitions to order.
Report equipment issues, follow up works & spares requirements to the Shift Plant Engineer and report in the shift report.
Maintain Housekeeping to a high standard.
Support work requests outside of the sphere of the immediate role.
Any other non-defied duties &/or responsibilities required to support engineerings operations.
Requirements/Qualifications: Btec or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Experience of heavy motorised and hydraulic plant.
Experience of steam generation, boiler house operation and high pressure fluid systems.
Electrical experience with some Mechanical, ability to identify, safely isolate and work on equipment that have multiple sources of energy.
Continental Shifts, 4 on 4 off. 2x12 hour days (6am 6pm) and 2x12 hour nights (6pm 6am)(Contracted to work all company shift patterns).
You must currently reside in the United Kingdom and hold full right to work.
