Our Blue Chip Public Sector Client are looking for a Salesforce Engineer. It must be via an Umbrella Company, will be for 6 months initially (Extensions likely) and will be hybrid working with on average one day week onsite. This role will offer the chance to move into Salesforce Development so there may be some flexibility with the skillset if have required Salesforce skills. Please note, Active SC clearance is heavily desired, SC eligible be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced Screen Flows.
  • Implement a complex security and access model based on the principle of least privilege, utilizing restrictive OWDs, sharing rules, and permission sets.
  • Build and maintain critical integrations, including a secure REST API callout to an external system (JPA) via Salesforce Private Connect.
  • Configure Salesforce Shield, including Real-Time Event Monitoring, to stream security logs to the client's Splunk SIEM.
  • Translate business requirements and architectural designs into well-documented, high-quality technical solutions.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive hands‑on experience as a Salesforce Engineer in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Deep expertise in Apex, including writing triggers, controllers, and asynchronous code.
  • Proven proficiency with Lightning Web Components (LWC) for building modern user interfaces.
  • Strong Salesforce Service Cloud experience, including Case Management, Knowledge, and Messaging for In-App and Web (MIAW) / Chat.
  • Demonstrable experience with Salesforce security, including Salesforce Shield (Platform Encryption & Event Monitoring) and configuring highly restrictive data access models.
  • Solid experience with Salesforce integration patterns, specifically consuming external REST APIs.
  • Proficient in working within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery model.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solution (PSS).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Private Connect.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools like Splunk.
  • Active Salesforce Certifications (Platform Developer II, Service Cloud Consultant, Security and Privacy Accredited Professional).
  • Prior experience working on UK public sector or secure government projects.
