We are an established facilities management company looking for a Maintenance Engineer for works subject but not limited to repairing and improving the physical fabric of buildings. This includes carpentry, minor plumbing, basic masonry, finishing works, and general building upkeep. The role ensures that buildings remain safe, functional, and presentable through both planned maintenance and reactive repairs. We are looking to add additional engineers to our growing friendly team.

Responsibilities:
- Attending sites for urgent reactive fabric-related breakdowns such as leaks, broken windows/locks/doors.
- Provide reactive repairs to a variety of building fabric items.
- Ensure safe and efficient resolution with minimal disruption to customers or building users.
- Carry out repairs to walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and associated finishes.
- Undertake patch painting, plastering, tiling, and making good after works.
- Replace damaged fixtures, fittings, locks, hinges, and ironmongery.
- Install and repair skirting boards, architraves, shelving, and small joinery works.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks such as replacing taps, washers, seals, and unblocking minor drains.
- Assist other teams (Electrical/HVAC/Gas) by providing access, making good, and completing follow-on works.
- Small refurbishment projects or minor construction tasks.
- Have good working knowledge of current Health & Safety, risk assessments, and method statements and other relevant legislation.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
- Liaising with office staff to progress jobs in an effective and timely manner.
Candidate Specification:
Skills:
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Experience within commercial settings.
- Multi-skilled in a variety of building fabric skillsets.
Desirable:
- 3+ years' experience.
- Proficient with IT (work is issued and reports filed electronically).
- It would be hugely advantageous to be able to deal with patch repairs and Altro flooring.
