Seaking Electrical Ltd is a leading electrical engineering company specialising in marine and industrial electrical systems. From new-build vessels and refits to complex control and automation projects, we deliver high-quality electrical solutions across the UK maritime and industrial sectors.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrician (or an Industrial Electrician with transferable skills) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of exciting projects, including new vessel builds, refits, and electrical system installations for major clients within the shipbuilding and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems onboard vessels and in industrial environments
  • Fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance on a range of electrical equipment
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
  • Working with armoured, control, and data cabling systems
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and safety procedures
  • Collaborating with project engineers and supervisors to meet project deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served electrician with relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial electrical work
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and testing procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience with control systems, switchboards, or automation
  • Knowledge of marine standards (Lloyd’s, DNV, etc.)
  • Valid ECS or JIB card
  • CompEx certification (advantageous but not essential)
  • Willingness to travel (advantageous but not essential).
