The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects across industrial sites, carrying out installations, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, termination, and testing of industrial electrical systems and equipment
  • Fault-finding, repairs, and planned maintenance activities
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Working with containment systems, armoured cabling, and control wiring
  • Assisting with control panel installations and machinery connections
  • Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements
  • Collaborating with supervisors and engineers to deliver projects on time and to specification

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in industrial electrical installation or maintenance
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, and motor circuits
  • Competent in using test equipment and completing electrical certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • ECS or JIB Gold Card
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
  • Experience with PLC wiring, control systems, or instrumentation
  • CompEx certification (advantageous but not essential)
  • Familiarity with industrial standards and safe systems of work
  • Willingness to travel (advantageous but not essential).
