The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects across industrial sites, carrying out installations, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, termination, and testing of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Fault-finding, repairs, and planned maintenance activities
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Working with containment systems, armoured cabling, and control wiring
- Assisting with control panel installations and machinery connections
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements
- Collaborating with supervisors and engineers to deliver projects on time and to specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Time-served electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in industrial electrical installation or maintenance
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, and motor circuits
- Competent in using test equipment and completing electrical certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
- ECS or JIB Gold Card
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
- Experience with PLC wiring, control systems, or instrumentation
- CompEx certification (advantageous but not essential)
- Familiarity with industrial standards and safe systems of work
- Willingness to travel (advantageous but not essential).
