About the Role
Join our friendly, fast-moving Facilities team at Scouts HQ and play a vital role in keeping our buildings and estates safe, compliant and ready for adventure. Your work will directly support thousands of young people to enjoy life-changing experiences every year. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Facilities Technician with a strong electrical background who enjoys variety, problem-solving and hands-on work. From electrical fault-finding to planned maintenance and compliance checks, you’ll help keep our sites running smoothly and safely.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering electrical maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis across our sites
- Supporting general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating
- Managing and prioritising work via our CAFM system
- Ensuring all work meets health, safety and compliance standards
- Working collaboratively with contractors and supporting estates projects and upgrades
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working with electrical systems (single and three phase, SWA, BS 7671)
- A solid understanding of health & safety, compliance and building maintenance
- A proactive, team-focused approach with strong initiative
- Confidence using digital systems and interpreting technical documentation
- Physical capability to work outdoors and at height
- Relevant certifications, such as 18th Edition or Part P, or willingness to work towards them
