Working Pattern: Our normal working week is currently 37 hours. However, we will move to a 35-hour working week no later than March 2026. We also operate a wide variety of work patterns, successfully balancing lifestyle choices with business requirements. We’re committed to supporting staff to achieve a healthy work‑life balance. This is a full-time post however we are happy to talk about flexible working.
Pension: Although not a civil service employer, we offer civil service pension arrangements with an employer contribution of 28.97% of basic annual salary.

Join the Scottish Parliament as a Senior Project Manager – a unique opportunity to lead impactful change. In this role you will lead and deliver the technical aspects of decarbonisation of the Holyrood building. This project spans work across engineering, inside the chamber where parliament sits and security. There is also an external engagement aspect of the work focusing on reducing our carbon footprint which requires a high level of competence in stakeholder management and engagement.
As a senior member of the Facilities Management (FM) Team, you will make a significant contribution to the delivery of a customer focused, professional and trusted service to our many stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will have a thorough knowledge of the influencing factors that impact the priorities and workload of the FM Office, will provide leadership on the programmes they manage and demonstrate the necessary values and behaviours to successfully achieve desired programme outcomes.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary technical projects with proven success. Diverse and senior stakeholder engagement and management is essential for this role as well as a focus on customer centric design. Experience of technical business case writing with a focus on critical success factors and benefits is required.

You’ll also have the opportunity to join the Alpha Civil Service pension scheme, where we’ll offer you an employer contribution of 28.97% of your basic salary.
