Isla Spey Deveron Group of Churches (www.islaspeydeveron-churches.org) is a group of 5 churches with one Vestry in rural NE Scotland. We are looking to appoint a Priest in Charge who can build on the unity within the group while encouraging the diversity of the churches.

We are seeking to appoint a Priest-in-Charge who is:

  • A person of deep personal faith.
  • Able to lead us in inspiring liturgical and musical worship.
  • A thoughtful and gifted teacher.
  • A people person who can encourage people to use their gifts.
  • Enthusiastic about helping the congregations engage with their ecumenical partners and their communities.
  • Has experience of leading a group of churches.

Within the initial period of this appointment and subject to longer-term financial viability, the bishop may, with the consent of the Vestry, decide to license the Priest-in-Charge as Rector.
