Junior Sous Chef – The School House Weeford

Location: Weeford Staffordshire

We are looking for an experienced Chef at the The School House. Our Chefs have the opportunity to gain experience working across all areas of the kitchen and will generally be given responsibility to look after a particular section with the help of other chefs.

On a daily basis youll be supporting the Sous Chefs and Head Chef in a range of duties including fresh food preparation and cooking as well as undertaking kitchen management duties including ordering, stock control and ensuring food safety and cleaning standards are met.

We encourage all our chefs to embrace our food culture and take part in weekly menu development changes so youll have the chance to submit your own ideas for new dishes on the menu.

This is a key role in the kitchen and were looking for people with good cooking skills and experience of working in a busy kitchen in a fresh food environment. Creating a happy working atmosphere is vital to the successful running of the kitchens and comes high on our agenda and so your contribution to creating a friendly and supportive working environment is crucial.

The potential here is enormous and were looking for an ambitious and committed chef with a passion for good food who is ready to take the next step in their career. We provide all our chefs with real opportunities to develop with us into a senior chef role with training and support in place for you along the way.
