Join us as a Lift Installation Engineer- Greater London. We are recruiting for a Lift Installation Engineer to cover Greater London. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality installation work and completing handovers to the required standards. This is a full time and permanent role.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Measuring & setting out lift/escalator installations in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety.
  • Preparing the work area for installation activities and handing over and confirming completion of installation activities.
  • Installing lift/escalator Well and Ancillary Equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Installing Traction Equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Installing Lift Ropes (traction media) and adjusting in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Installing Lift Doors and Frames in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Checking and Setting the Lift/escalator Installation in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Carrying out site surveys.
  • Keeping the supervisor informed regarding the progress of work, hours spent and any non-compliance.
  • Staying in communication with the customer and the supervisor to ensure the satisfaction of the customer needs.
  • Attending all relevant training sessions.
  • Carrying out all works in accordance with the Company’s Quality Corporate policy.
  • Working in accordance with the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to the Company safety objectives.

What you bring:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator Installation or equivalent or mechanically or electrically qualified and willing to work towards NVQ3 Qualification.
  • Possession of a relevant/valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • More advanced product and Installation knowledge/experience.
  • Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
  • Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Installation Managers/SAIS Inspectors).
  • Good Punctuality.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Full UK driving License.
