Overview
The role is being hosted by Southampton City Council's Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Team. The HDRC is a 5-year programme funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research to support the council in making better use of evidence in decision making. Southampton's Place Partnership work is systems-based, involving Southampton City Council, Energise Me (our local Active Partnership), voluntary sector organisations, communities, and academic partners.
Responsibilities
- The Evaluation Specialist will establish robust evaluation and learning frameworks, building on best practice including from Sport England's National Evaluation and Learning Partner.
- The role will then be responsible for implementing these frameworks, utilising both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, and ensure the learning is fed back to the Place Partnership to inform decisions on what to start, stop or continue doing.
- The role will also play an important part of building capacity in evaluation and learning across the system.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience.
- You will have a good knowledge of evaluation methodologies, skills in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and be able to work well with a wide range of partners.
