What do we want?
We are looking for a Permanent Spa Operations Manager – a key leadership role in shaping the guest journey across the spa environments at the Scarlet and Bedruthan Hotels.
Initially, this role will form part of a maternity cover plan: working alongside our Head of Wellness to jointly support the Spa Manager’s remit. The Head of Wellness will take primary responsibility for the therapies team, leaving you to focus on the guest-facing team, spa hosts, and the experiences that create warm, thoughtful, and seamless guest journeys.
As the Spa Operations Manager, you will lead our spa front-of-house operations helping our teams deliver consistently high levels of care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
– Leading and inspiring the guest-facing spa team, including Spa Hosts and the Operations Team Leader
– Ensuring every guest touchpoint reflects our values of care, calm, and consistency
– Coordinating with therapy and wellness leadership to deliver a unified spa experience
– Managing rotas, stock control, retail presentation, and spa service standards
– Acting as the senior contact for spa operations in the absence of the Spa Manager or Therapies Leads
– Helping transition this role into a more strategic guest experience leadership post over the next 12–18 months

– Have at least 2 years’ leadership experience in a spa, wellness, or hospitality setting
– Are confident with bookings, guest service software (CRM/POS), and coordinating multi-layered teams
– Thrive in guest-facing roles and remain calm under emotional or complex feedback
– Have a passion for nurturing people and delivering truly thoughtful service
– Are highly organised, self-motivated, and values-led
Desirable Experience
– Experience in a luxury or lifestyle spa or hotel
– Knowledge of wellness-led or ethical businesses
– Background in retail, guest communications, or change management
