Researcher/ writer/ Editor - Plastics - Volunteer in City of London

Our Mission is to give a national and global perspective to those working locally. We need help compiling abstracts of researched material from multiple sources, presenting it to the broader public in ways that are easier to understand.

What difference will you make?

Your input will enable us to respond more quickly to events and increase the number of blogs we can produce on a monthly basis in order to gain a greater traction on social media and reach a wider audience.

What are we looking for?

• Has a basic understanding of climate issues
• Has experience of precising, writing and editing content
• Has the ability to quickly understand the needs of our organisation
• Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements
• Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and can work within these

What will you be doing?

The task involves researching and reviewing complex and technical information from various sources like newsletters, blogs, and news items. The volunteer will create concise summaries (abstracts) of the key points, making the information easier to understand and share across platforms. After gaining a general understanding of the topics, the volunteer will choose a specific area to specialise in, allowing us to respond quickly to relevant news updates.
