We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Design Manager to lead the production of accurate, practical working drawings to support design, manufacture, and installation across a variety of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed drawings from project briefs, quotations, and site meetings
- Manage a small team of CAD technicians
- Attend site for surveys, coordination, and professional team meetings
- Liaise with contractors, architects, and clients to resolve design challenges
- Ensure designs align with budgets, timelines, and manufacturing capabilities
- Support project delivery in compliance with CDM and internal procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Design Manager role within joinery or interior fit-out
- Proficient in Auto CAD, iX, Inventor, or Solid Works
- Strong understanding of traditional and modern methods
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented
