IT Engineer in Brighton

We are working with a well-established organisation based in Brighton, currently seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join their dedicated technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a hands-on role supporting enterprise-level IT systems with a key initial focus on migrating an on-premise Microsoft Exchange environment to Exchange Online.

As part of a collaborative and forward thinking infrastructure team, you will be involved in both the operational support and development of core IT services across a complex technical estate. You will also play a vital role in the planning and delivery of a range of IT projects, with opportunities to contribute as a technical lead.

• Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems across both on-premise and cloud environments.

• Deliver service improvements and ensure operational resilience of critical IT platforms.

• Act as technical lead or contributor on strategic infrastructure projects.

• Focus initially on Exchange to Exchange Online migration, with scope for broader project involvement.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in IT operations/infrastructure.

• Demonstrable experience in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.

• Expertise in Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 administration.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, MS Configuration Manager, Citrix, PowerShell scripting.

• Knowledge of email security solutions or IIS/web services would be a bonus.

• Full-time, permanent role (37 hours/week) with hybrid working flexibility (Brighton-based).

• Occasional out-of-hours work may be required to support key services with minimal disruption.
