The predicted salary is between 26463 - 32343 Β£ per year.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Including some evenings and weekends).

We are looking for a compassionate, confident and dynamic person who wants to make a difference in the lives of homeless people. Our role is to provide a safe place to stay and to access support for people who have substance use issues and complex needs. The service delivery model is rooted in the harm reduction approach, based on trauma-informed practice, is strength-based and uses person-centred approaches.

The key focus of our work is to help the transition from rough sleeping into a stable lifestyle. This includes individual support with all aspects of health and wellbeing and social engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and keyworkers to ensure residents at our Rapid Access Homeless Accommodation are supported to maintain their stay until suitable move-on accommodation is available.
  • Manage and promote payment of service charges for the accommodation.
  • Prevent eviction or abandonment through supporting residents to maintain their responsibilities and uphold their rights.
  • Work individually and in groups to develop skills to support long-term tenancy sustainment.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Motivation towards supporting homeless individuals to achieve focused and positive life outcomes.
  • The ability to form positive, supportive and motivating relationships.
  • That they are able to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army.

SSSC Registration is required. It is important to apply for registration as soon as possible and within three months of starting your role. You must be registered within six months.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (PVG Scheme Disclosure Check) and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements. As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
