We are looking for a welcoming, organised and compassionate Concierge to join our Lifehouse Services. This is a key front-of-house role, often acting as the first point of contact for people accessing our service, visitors and colleagues.
As Concierge, you will help provide a professional, safe and supportive environment for our clients, contributing to high-quality, outcome-focused support services where client choice, dignity and control are central.
What you will be doing
- Offering front-of-house services to clients, ensuring they are signed in or out where required and that queries are handled professionally, referring to support staff where needed.
- Managing additional front-of-house duties, including telephone calls, external visitors to the Lifehouse, messages, follow-up calls, log books and handover reports.
- Managing enquiries relating to available accommodation and facilitating access to emergency accommodation where required.
- Recording outgoing mail and supporting administration for internal and external post, including sorting and issuing post to clients and staff.
- Completing building checks, including patrols, ensuring fire exits and external doors are free from obstruction, and maintaining health and safety, fire and other records as appropriate.
- Working with clients to maintain positive relationships, resolve conflict and use de-escalation skills where appropriate.
- Making decisions about excluding clients in conjunction with the duty manager or on-call system.
- Providing Concierge services across more than one site, including attending other sites to respond to incidents and using CCTV to monitor other services.
- Acting in a lone-working capacity where required, supporting client health and safety through basic first aid, calling emergency assistance if needed and supporting site evacuation in the event of a fire alarm.
- Updating client information on systems, supporting entry and exit processes, accurately recording rent payments and contributing to data entry and statistical gathering for housing management purposes.
- Supporting the cleanliness and readiness of office, communal and void spaces to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Logging and reporting maintenance issues, including emergency out-of-hours repairs.
- Taking part in training, supervision and performance reviews to support your ongoing professional development.
