Relief Café Assistant
Nunhead Salvation Army Church & Community Centre is looking for a Relief Café Assistant to be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy and vibrant Café.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food and set up the café launch.
- Take orders, serve customers, and maintain hygiene standards.
- Use the coffee machine confidently and manage customer payments using the cash register.
- Assist with cashing up at the end of the day as directed.
- Maintain all areas, including tables, to a tidy, clean and hygienic standard, ensuring tables are cleared and cleaned promptly.
- Assist Café volunteers to work safely and effectively in the preparation, serving, and cleaning of the café.
Qualifications
- Good understanding of taking orders, preparing, and serving food.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience using a coffee machine and cash register.
