We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to support our Shop Manager and volunteer team in ensuring our shop runs successfully. The role involves providing outstanding customer service, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and supporting volunteers throughout their shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising throughout the shop.
  • Assist customers through their visit, from entry to purchase.
  • Actively promote and explain the benefits of Gift Aid and other promotions.
  • Complete company paperwork, including cashing up and banking procedures.
  • Encourage and assist in the training of volunteers.
  • Sort and prepare donated stock.
  • Travel to other shops within the cluster occasionally.
  • Support the Shop Manager with best practice and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Manage the daily running of the shop and volunteer shift during the manager’s absence.
  • Behaviour and actions that reflect the organisation’s visions and values.

Salary & Working Hours

Part‑time, 15 hours per week. Pay is £12.88 per hour (equivalent to approximately £10,046 per annum). No evening or Sunday working required.
