Overview
The Salvation Army’s Kroc Center is hiring a KidSpace Attendant and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 650 Dudley St., Dorchester, MA
Pay Range: $18.00/hr.
The main function of the KidSpace Attendant is to provide short-term supervision to the children of members and program participants through engaging activities and programming.
Education Requirements
- High School or GED
Work Experience
- At least one year of experience working with youth of preschool, elementary or middle school age.
- At least one-year experience working with children in artistic, and/or recreational activities or programs.
Other Qualifications
- Must have or be able to acquire within the first 30 days of employment a First Aid & CPR certification.
- Must have the ability to work and relate well with people.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep all areas where participants are located organized and clean.
- Ensure participants\’ safety.
- Assist children with self-care (assisting children in the restrooms) as needed.
- Lead children through interactive and engaging activities during drop-in open programming and structured activities.
- Assist with planning activities and programs for the KidSpace program.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and management team meetings as required.
- Assist with daily reports (attendance and time log) for the program.
- See that all injuries for those under your program whether employee, volunteer, visitor, or spectator are reported in a timely manner and according to procedure.
- Maintain a safe working environment; report all harmful problems to the director or supervisor.
- Handle disputes with participants/parents in a professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
