Malachi Place is a pioneering residential service, based in Ilford, accommodating 42 people, including people with no recourse to public funds. We are looking for a Night Concierge to join our team at Malachi Place. We are committed to providing opportunities that support each person to find their purpose, develop positive relationships and experience a sense of community. Applications are welcome from all, but we are particularly interested in applications from candidates that have language skills relevant to the residents including Punjabi and Lithuanian.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer front of house services to clients ensuring they are signed in or out where required and their queries are handled in a professional manner, referring them to support staff where required.
- Complete building checks which may include patrols of the building and ensuring fire exits and external doors are free from obstruction.
- Clean office space and communal areas on a scheduled basis and clean and prepare void rooms in order to maximise occupancy and ensure turn around targets are met.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent customer service and people management skills with ability to provide efficient front of house service.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for transforming the lives of people experiencing homelessness.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS: Enhanced Adult DBS Disclosure), Health Assessment and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements. As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
