The Addington hostel has been providing housing support for Men for 130 years and provides wraparound care for those with prior involvement with Corrections, Mental health or Addiction services.
Responsibilities:
- Working with a case load each week
- Support the men towards independent living in the community
- Attend case meetings and staff trainings
Our ideal candidate will:
- Must have a NZ degree in social work, Nursing, Counselling, Addictions (or equivalent)
- Must have NZ registration with NZNO, SWRB, NZAC or Dapaanz or NZ equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in working within Corrections/Housing/Mental Health/Addictions or equivalent
- Able to work within a Men’s only service
- Must have a full NZ drivers’ licence

This role is up to 12 months unless there is an earlier return to work for the current staff member. Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society'. This role is fixed term for up to 12 months and the hours will be 20 hours per week. The annual starting salary for this role will be set by the Social Workers pay equity and fall between $68,000 - $102,000 (pro rata) depending upon your level of experience.
